This summer, we’re inviting dancers — and those who know dance is their path — to step into something bigger than choreography. The SFR Dance Academy is opening its doors for an intensive season of growth, expression, and transformation. But this isn’t your typical summer dance program. At SmallFace Records, we’re not just teaching movement — we’re exploring meaning. The Academy, led by the prolific dancer and community leader George Michael, was born out of a vision: to take the original music created in-house at SmallFace and translate it into motion that moves people on a soul level. Our core artist, Superstar Deraa, has crafted sounds that don’t just entertain — they communicate. And the Dance Academy is here to ensure that communication carries through the body, through emotion, and through space.

This Summer: A New Kind of Dance Education

Many will rest, many will travel, and many will drift — but for those who know they carry a unique fire for movement… this is your time. We’re offering an immersive experience designed not just to elevate your technical skill, but to sharpen your purpose. Whether you’re a trained dancer or someone who moves when no one’s watching, this space will hold you, shape you, and challenge you to go deeper. Expect: Spiritual grounding and movement meditation Style exploration: Afro, Contemporary, Krump, Street, Interpretive Community circles on creative identity, discipline, and storytelling Performance training: How to speak with your body before you ever open your mouth Guest teachers and virtual mentors from Ghana, Indonesia, China, the UK, and more This academy isn’t about dancing like others — it’s about dancing like yourself, more honestly than you ever have before.

At SmallFace Records, we say: music is communication. So when we visualize it — when we add motion — the communication must remain. We’re not here for flashy routines without connection. We’re not here for trend-chasing without message. We’re here to teach dancers how to feel deeply, move with intention, and become living language on stage. Every step, every wave of the hand, every drop of the shoulder… it should speak.     Must not be older than one month

  • Your Full Name

  • Your Height

  • Two recent photos of yourself

  • A short personal note:
    Why do you dance? What do you want to use your dancing to say or do?

  • Your favorite dance genre (e.g. Afro, Krump, Makossa, Street, etc.)
